🦅 Growth Notes from Hypefury - May edition 📖
Three Growth Tips 🌱
1. DMs won't build relationships
If you want to build your network and relationships on Twitter, only DM-ing won't cut it. Big accounts get hundreds of DMs in a day. They might even respond to you if your message is great but you want them to remember you.
One way of doing this is coming under their radar before texting them.
Reply to their tweets.
Do not rewrite them in platitude-ly sense but give ideas and add to the conversation. Know their vibe and understand them. Joke around with them.
Then when you’ve done this consistently, drop a message along the lines - “Thought it was time to say a Hi here..” Talk like a friend. Don’t ASK for help, video call, anything.
Have a normal conversation first couple of times and then take it ahead.

2. Tweet more than platitudes
Platitudes are cool for consistency but only writing “Drink Water” won’t make you any different.
There are hundreds of growth, fitness, biz account on twitter. And they all have platitudes.
What will make you different than them is how you present your thoughts.
You need a healthy mix of tweets that share your story, offer your viewpoint and makes your twitter account - YOU.
Some tips on personalizing your account 👇
- Have a different writing style
- Share your opinions once in a while
- Own a specific way of sharing : be it memes, gif, your way of tweeting
- Share your weakness and lows
- Share what you’re working on
- Share your personality and moments of your personal life

3. Low engagement after a Twitter break?
You must have noticed that your engagement suffers when you take a break from Twitter.
When you tweet and reply less for a while, the twitter algorithm stops showing you around. And that makes it difficult to get likes and replies when you come back.
To solve it, you need Twitter algorithm to know YOU'RE BACK.
- Start with tweeting on the lines of "Was away from Twitter for a while. Back in the game now" Let your followers know you're back
- Tweet questions, opinions and whatever can get people to reply. Ask engaging questions. Ask opinions. Let people engage with you.
-Top it up with a free giveaway. A VIRAL tweet will definitely bring you back in the game. But you can't get a viral tweet when your engagement is already suffering. So...do a FREE giveaway.
People love free things and they'll comment under your tweet to grab it for free.
You can use Hypefury's auto DM to make this a 2 min task ;)
Two Tweet Writing Tips ✍️
1. Make memes :p
It's not a tweet "writing" tip but a strong tweeting tip nevertheless.
Memes are the universal language. Even Elon does it.
Everyone loves a good meme. Every now and then, strike a chord with your followers with your humour.
You can easily meme on your niche as well.
If you're an entrepreneur, meme on startup founders and classic entrepreneur problems.
If you're a writer, meme on low inspiration for writing and impostor syndrome.
If you're a freelancer, meme on client issues and productivity problems.
Dagobert has been growing audience (and his business) by effective meme-ing :p
2. The BAR check
Replying on tweets is a common twitter strategy.
And so all viral tweets are filled with same thing said 10 boring ways.
You ought to stand different from the crowd if you want your reply to get noticed and convert to followers.
Be funny, be personal, talk like a friend, DON'T REPLY IN PLATITUDES and drop a gif.
Another way of being yourself, funny and like a person (not a bot) on twitter is the BAR CHECK.
Would you say this in a bar with your friends?
If yes, TWEET IT.
If it's too boring to say to friends, you won't grab attention of internet strangers with it.
Folks under 10K you should follow right away!🌟
