Better Sheets - This Spreadsheet is a Game

Along with getting everything first! — onwards — Tyler's back! He built Sheetle (Wordle in a spreadsheet) And now he's showing you how to make a game in a spreadsheet, in 36 minutes. It's not just "any game". (like an easter egg hunt) It's an interactive adventure game, with a wizard! 🧙♂️ Here are two things he shows that I think are absolute magic! ButtonsHe creates buttons by formatting checkboxes in a special way. Tyler inserts a normal checkbox, increases the size beyond the cell size and then makes the check inside disappear to users. Yet the check is perceptible to the computer. Then he connects these buttons to a 🧙♂️ character, and makes it so you can move the 🧙♂️ character around a map. CollisionWhile you move that character (a 🧙♂️) around the map, they may run into things. Tyler creates a mini map. It shows what is around the character and then disables the button to move them through any wall or object. Using the AND() formula. ahhhh. it's so good. Watch it allWatch all 5 videos.
