Love Island Is Ditching Fast Fashion Partnerships For A More Sustainable Sponsor

We’re still likely a few weeks out from the premiere of Love Island, and while there’s a lot of speculation as to *where* the new season will be filmed, the show has made one announcement about what everyone will be *wearing.* Instead of giving the contestants an allowance to spend on the show’s fast fashion sponsors like Missguided and I Saw It First, they’re partnering with eBay and celeb stylist Amy Bannerman, who dresses the likes of Dua Lipa and Jonathan Van Ness, to help the cast put together looks using second-hand pieces. “The impact of Love Island and its stars… is undeniable.” (I mean, just look at the underboob bikini trend for evidence.) “And together we want to inspire the nation to choose preloved first when shopping.” Good sh*t! Maybe other productions, reality and otherwise, will follow suit.

Otherwise, Netflix cut more jobs, and Disney+ is also getting ready to incorporate ads. The Stranger Things crew reunited on the red carpet and made everyone feel old. Harry Styles released his new album, which is inspired by a ‘70s Japanese pop icon. And we’re anxiously waiting on more Cannes looks to roll in.
