Spotify Newsletter - Spotify Newsletter #111
Hello! Happy Friday and welcome to the latest Spotify Newsletter. In Spotify news that doesn’t really move the needle for me, political advertising is returning to Spotify for the first time since the 2020 US election. Anything ‘political’ leaves me suspicious, and concerned about dark forces at play, but if there’s money to be made I guess Spotify isn’t going to turn away from diving back into the (cess)pool of politics+media. In far more pleasant news …. Spotify has been listed as ‘essential’ by 75% of respondents in a new Hub survey. That 75% polled ranked Spotify as a "must have" service vs. "nice to have." I’m in full agreement with the (very wise) 75%! Spotify is as about ‘essential’ as it gets for me as a music/media consumer. It’s a definite ‘must have’ - that’s for sure! Music streaming is awesome! 😃 Have a nice weekend! ★In the SPOTlight★🔥 Spotify Beats Netflix in Ranking of 'Must Have' Services in the American Home

** On Thursday the music world said goodbye to the wonderful Yes drummer Alan White, as well as Andy Fletcher, founding member of Depeche Mode. In the nearby TV/film world, the terrific actor Ray Liotta also passed. He was terrific in everything darn thing he was in. They are gone, but never forgotten.
