• The House committee investigating January 6, 2021, held its last scheduled hearing, for now, on Thursday night, focusing on what then-President Donald Trump did and didn't do as his supporters attacked the Capitol. [Wall Street Journal]

Ukraine and Russia's grain export deal

• Kyiv and Moscow signed separate deals with Turkey and the UN on Friday to resume exporting Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea. [Associated Press / Ayse Wieting and Suzan Fraser]
• The war in Ukraine has prevented millions of tons of grain and other goods from leaving ports for months. As a result, prices have surged, threatening a global food crisis. [CNN]
