Beeswax-covered cloth is a decent alternative to single use plastic wrap. Although they’re not airtight, these pliable wraps cling to themselves, making it easy to store food or cover dishes. In our tests, we bundled halved avocados, tomatoes, and onions in the various beeswax wraps—they held up just as well as they would have in plastic wrap. Compared with other similar cloths, these wraps also held up better through repeated washings.
