The Cups suit in the Minor Arcana is linked to the water element. This means aspects of relationships, emotions, feelings, and processing pain are what this suit represents. The zodiac signs associated with water are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, which is what you think of when you think of the Cups suit. Therefore, the first card in this suit is the Ace of Cups, and that is what I am going over today. The Ace of Cups tarot card represents new love or a brand new relationship. It is also a card that represents creativity as well as compassion. You are ready to take on a new creative opportunity as this is when you may be inclined to start an art or creative writing project. This is when you may take on a creative class, such as a dance or art class. Whatever it is, it is something that will stimulate your creative juices. Let's go over the history and appearance of the Ace of Cups tarot card. The History And Appearance Of The Ace of Cups Tarot Card. The history of the Ace of Cups tarot card can be traced back to the early days of tarot. The first recorded use of tarot cards was in Italy in the 1430s, and the Ace of Cups was likely one of the first cards created. This card has also been linked to the concept of 'the cup of life,' which contains all our good and bad experiences. The Ace of Cups represents an opportunity to drink from this cup and understand the interconnectedness of all things. When you look at the Ace of Cups in the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck, you will see an overflowing chalice containing five water streams as the cup is the vessel to your subconscious mind. The five streams are your five senses in addition to your intuition and emotions. The hand that holds the cup is the symbol of your spiritual awareness and influence. If you look underneath the hand, you will see lotus blossoms on the sea, which signifies a spiritual awakening. Finally, the dove goes down towards the cup, a sign of love through the subconscious to the conscious. Now, let's go over what the Ace of Cups means in a reading. What It Means When You Get The Ace of Cups In A ReadingIn a reading, the Ace of Cups can indicate that you are about to experience a deep and meaningful connection with someone. This connection could be romantic, platonic, or even spiritual. If you are currently single, the Ace of Cups suggests that you soon meet someone special who will change your life for the better. The Ace of Cups indicates that your bond will grow stronger and more fulfilling if you are in a relationship. The meaning of the Ace of Cups tarot card can also extend to other areas of your life besides relationships. If you feel lost or disconnected from yourself, the Ace of Cups suggests that you will soon find your way back to your true path. This can be a time of great creativity, self-discovery, and spiritual growth. Trust your intuition and allow yourself to be open to new possibilities. No matter what situation you find yourself in, the Ace of Cups is a positive sign that suggests good things are on the horizon. If you have been dealing with difficult circumstances, know they will soon end. An influx of love and positivity is headed your way. Embrace it with open arms! Let's get back to some storytelling. Before I get into this, I have to be frank about something. I will no longer be doing storytelling regarding Risa Green. Even though my life experiences are not nearly as extreme as hers, there are plenty of parallels, which have been difficult for me to think about. And besides, I am not sure if readers and listeners are enjoying it. Well, I don't blame them if that is the case. But I don't regret adding the story to these podcasts, as there needs to be more awareness about trauma and mental health. But I can use better examples of it. So I will do that from here on. So, Ace as you know represents new beginnings and fresh starts. The story I will use for the Cups suit is about a woman getting married and becoming a mom who wants to start a home-based business. This woman ends up falling in love with her new boyfriend, and she may have concerns that he does not love her the way she loves him. And that type of anxiety when relationships begin to strengthen is typical. So that is all there is to the Ace of Cups. I promise the story will become more interesting as I get further along in the Cups suit. Now, let's go over the Ace of Cups reversed. Ace of Cups ReversedWhen the Ace of Cups is in reverse, it can indicate intuition that you may not accept, repressed emotions, suppressed creativity, or being self-centered. And this is what unprocessed trauma can do to you. It can cause you to doubt yourself, and therefore, you may question your intuition. Additionally, you do not want to accept your emotions, so you may end up eating, drinking, or smoking them away. Or gambling them away. And it can also cause creativity blocks. However, sometimes a poor night's sleep can do all of that too. And I also think of the Ace of Cups reversed when there are writing blocks. But there are methods to bring the Ace upright again. Now, let's talk about how the Ace of Cups can help you. How To Implement The Ace Of Cups To Your LifeIf you need some help with creativity, regardless of what it is you want to use it for, then that is when you need to apply the Ace of Cups to your life. Whether you want to be creative for the sake of blogging or coming up with out-of-the-box methods for cleaning or organizing. This card can be a big help in so many areas of your life. Also, if you doubt your intuition, you will want to meditate on this card to get a clearer picture of what you are getting. To sum up, any help you need with intuition and creativity, this is an excellent card to focus on. The next card I will talk about is the Two of Cups. You’re a free subscriber to Miriam Reads Tarot .
