Live Long, Vote and Nominate #Noonies2022

The Noonies 2022

Greetings, Hackers 👋🏽

As you well know, HackerNoon is recognizing the incredible work of those who have boldly gone where no one has gone before, for the 4th year in a row.

Writers who unravel the secrets of the Google algorithm, video producers who shine a light on the darker parts of the internet, and businesses that empower and entertain us. These are the Stars of Tech Innovation that we seek to recognize.

As we have before, we are doing this with a Noonies Award.
Though we have worked hard to nominate as many writers, developers, companies, and content creators as we can, we cannot see everything.

If you believe that we have missed someone who deserves the recognition, you can nominate them on
noonies.tech.

You can learn how to nominate here. Nominations close on August 31st.

We’ll show off two of our favorite award categories!

     Emerging Tech

In prehistoric times, fire and wheel were emerging tech. Today, the standards might be a little higher, the impact a little distributed, but the potential to disrupt reality as we know it is still boundless. Noonies’ Emerging Tech Category Awards, in partnership with .TECH Domain by Radix, celebrates those individuals of the tech world that made the biggest strides towards the fulfillment of that potential

Here is one of the awards in that category:
The Mad Award For Best Open Source Project

To say that open source is the foundation of so much of the technology we use every day — to do our jobs, study, and interact with the rest of the world — is an understatement. And its influence is only growing, democratizing technology now and spurring innovation for tomorrow. This award celebrates the open-source ideas and initiatives that have made a major impact on the tech universe.

     Web3

Web3 in a nutshell is the advocacy of your digital rights. The 1990-2020 era of the Internet was defined by a growing list of intermediary entities that kept gnawing away at your ownership over your assets (banks), enterprise (e-commerce stores), creative content (social media platforms), and everything in between. With Web3, we’re going to take it back. Noonies’ Web3 Award Category, in partnership with BingX, celebrates those tech-pioneers who’re fighting the good fight!

Here is one of the awards in that category:
HackerNoon Contributor Of The Year - NFT

NFT is the acronym for non-fungible token, a digital certificate of ownership stored on the blockchain. It's the difference between jpegs on a memory card and those backed by a smart contract. The key-point about it is that they are called digital assets, which clearly implies that they can be a store of value.
About HackerNoon’s 2022 Noonies Awards

The 4th annual Noonies Awards celebrate the best and brightest of the tech industry, bringing together people who innovate and inspire, setting an example for everyone on the internet and making it the vibrant place we know and love. Please be sure to check out our award categories, nominate, and vote for the people and companies who you think are making the biggest impact on the tech industry today.

The 2022 Noonies are sponsored by: .TECH Domains by Radix, and BingX. Thank you so much to these sponsors who are helping us celebrate the accomplishments of all our nominees.
