Artists like Bezz Believe and Forgiato Blow have found a niche sort of fame among the Trump faithful

In June of 2022, the rapper Bezz Believe told me he had a bad feeling about Joe Biden. “In the back of his head, I don’t even know if he has a brain,” he said. “Whoever controls him does not have good intentions for society. I don’t know if it’s aliens or reptilians.”

Donald Trump, on the other hand, “was real,” he said. “I’d rather someone make a couple mean Tweets or say something that rubbed me the wrong way than [live in] a completely fake society that lies to my face and steals from me with a smile.”

If you’ve never heard of Bezz Believe before, that’s probably fine with him. The Orlando-area rapper, whose real name is Brad Markovitz, is wary of the mainstream media, thinks that big cities are corrupt dens of iniquity, and told me he distrusts major record labels because “a lot of [their employees] are pedophiles, for real.” Instead, he prefers to perform in mid-sized cities — “I’m a B-market god,” he jokes — and release his music independently, directly to streaming services. Outside of music, he’s entered into numerous ventures with his brother — “trapping, opening businesses,” he said — including a nightclub that the pair parlayed into an independent liquor store and a line of relaxation beverages called “Legal Lean.” Bezz also makes Sacha Baron Cohen-esque comedy videos portraying characters with names like OG Ginger Snap and Lefty Believe, and has dabbled in OnlyFans (mostly solo male content, according to one interview he did). Leo DiCaprio broke up with his girlfriend days after she turned 25

I have to assume that Leo DiCaprio knows there’s a running joke about him. It goes like this: He never dates a woman older than 25. There’s even a chart about it. Every time one of his model girlfriends, like Bar Rafaeli or Kelly Rohrbach or Nina Agdal, approaches the age of 26, he dumps them. Meanwhile, he is now 47 years old. And he’s currently single, because all the tabloids are reporting that he broke up with his most recent model girlfriend, Camila Morrone, after she turned 25 earlier this summer.

DiCaprio and Morrone were first photographed together at the end of 2017, when Morrone was 20, and they have dated ever since. Morrone even got to go to the Oscars with him in 2020, though he declined to walk the red carpet with her. All along, very determined sources talked to Us Weekly and other outlets about how this relationship was different from the Pussy Posse founder’s past entanglements — this was real. 

“They’ve talked about getting engaged,” a hopeful source revealed to Us Weekly in 2018. DiCaprio “has never loved a girl like this,” the source insisted. Continue reading

Her suspicious social media activity is making fans wonder

“I was Lisa Fucking Rinna before HW and I’ll be Lisa Fucking Rinna After,” Lisa (fucking) Rinna wrote in an Instagram Story post on Monday. The suspicious declaration is only the most recent in a series of actions making fans wonder whether the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been excommunicated from her beautiful Bravo paradise. Gosh, I hope Harry Hamlin has an evacuation plan ready.

It hasn’t been an easy season for Lisa Rinna, either on- or off-screen. The former soap star lost her mother, the much-beloved Lois, in November. After the tragedy played out on the show, Rinna took to social media to lash out at producers, saying her mother “got one episode of grace” and “that’s it.” In an Instagram comment afterwards she wrote, “I’m shocked we spent three episodes about the word dark, but only few scenes shown on real human grief.” (And she’s right that all of the episodes spent attempting to determine the meaning of the word “dark” [when used in the phrase “dark comments”] were boring and ultimately fruitless.) Congratulations to everyone in advance

If you paid attention to Off-Broadway goings on in 2012, you know about The Whale. Samuel D. Hunter’s play about a 600-pound English teacher slowly eating himself to death made quite the splash (no pun intended) that season, receiving four different write-ups in the New York Times, a Drama Desk Award, and a Lucille Lortel Award. Now, Hunter has adapted his play for the screen, with Darren Aronofsky directing and Brendan Fraser starring in what is sure to be a movie that is received in a really chill manner by everyone.

Just kidding, it’s going to be a shitshow. I’m not a betting woman, but I would put a lot of money on this film — whether it’s good or not — sparking at least a month of nearly unreadable Twitter discourse about fatness, queerness, and religion. If things go really poorly, the state of Idaho and Herman Melville might even catch some strays. Tina Brown channels Lady Di from the great British beyond

Today, on the 25th anniversary of Lady Diana Spencer’s tragic death, Tina Brown has used her intimate knowledge of British royal family history to channel the Princess from beyond her grave at her ancestral estate. Diana is a spirit guide now, and Brown, the author of The Diana Chronicles and a social friend of the Princess during her lifetime, is the Althorp Island Medium.

What do the necromancer journalist and the angel princess commune about from each side of the veil of death? There’s only one topic, of course: the Magickal Mrs. Meghan Markle, who many find quite bewitching.

In an interview with The Daily Beast — of which Brown was the founding editor — she recalls a lunch she had in New York with her Macbethian witch-sisters, Di and Anna Wintour, one month before the car accident that took Diana’s life. Diana was in transition mode, looking forward to getting her boys back from their endless summer vacation with the Queen, at that time a spritely 71 years young, and starting new charitable work.
