Vishal Krishna is a Visual & UX Designer, tech enthusiast, and a setup fanatic from Chennai, India. He is currently designing at Zuddl, a virtual and hybrid event platform.
They have just launched Zuddl Studio, a video production and streaming solution for events and webinars.
When he is not designing, behind a computer, or scrolling through setups on the internet, he can be found shooting content for his Instagram.

Coming to terms with the likely scenario that he will be a remote/hybrid worker for possibly the rest of his career has manifested in obsessing over improving his workspace.
Inside Vishal's Workspace
Items:
What is your favorite item in your workspace?
If I HAD to choose one it would be my AirPods. Purely for its convenience, value, and sheer frequency of usage, ( after the work computer of course). It's not the best sounding but it just works and how it integrates with the whole apple ecosystem(which is such a trap haha) is just incredible.
How do you spark creativity?
Since we are talking about workspaces here. I want to share a personal anecdote on how sometimes the subtlest features of your workspace and surroundings have the most significant impact on your creativity.

Simple things like how the workplace is lit for example make a very big difference in the mood and atmosphere and turn add to your productivity.

I had a dark setup before.

Even though I loved it for its dark and cozy vibes, I felt something was missing and it sometimes got uninspiring.

Design or any creative work for that matter can get really chaotic at times

And being remote, working from home made that feeling get to me more quickly...

For the past few months I’ve been working near a window with ample natural light, the difference is highly visible. The productivity, mood and it's a great place to develop ideas. Hence, I always keep check of my surroundings and constantly improve and add delightful things to keep me going.

How do you manage work-life balance?
Ouch. This is something I am still working on. Having started out as a design entrepreneur early in my career which is a 24hr job I had failed to set the boundaries and fell into the hustle culture trap.

For the past couple of years, I've been working remote/ hybrid. My previous company Kissflow and currently Zuddl have flexible timings and flexible vacation days. It has so many benefits but the does come with its own challenges starting with blurred boundaries.

I have started by following some routines and processes. It's a work in progress ...
Thanks for tuning in for another edition of Workspaces!
If you enjoyed this edition, please consider forwarding it to someone that you think would love it just as much!
