5 Artists From the UNDRGRND Collection 

UNDRGRND DIGS is a periodical feature showcasing artists that the UNDRGRND curators dig. We sift through the social media and NFT platforms to find the best artists waiting to be discovered. UNDRGRND believes in the artists we feature and we will purchase NFTs from each artist featured. Purchases will be airdropped to reward UNDRGRND community members.

KATMIiB11

KATMIiB11 crams their digital canvas to the brim with highly detailed low-res pixel art to tell the story of a fictional ocean town and their characters' experiences. From a rest stop that cares for large fish to a bird and octopus delivering pizza, and failing, there are enough quirky details that create a world full of character and characters.

sᴋ𝟶𝟶ʟ

Part of the Monday Art Club and featured in the Superlative Secret Society Gallery in Indonesia Sk00L has already made a name for himself. Which is good considering Sk00L is already dead, maybe. All of Sk00l’s art reflects his experiences and whatever is on his mind. Not shying away from sharing the struggles he faces, his work showcases the difficult times. Sk00l comes out the other side, for better or worse, to create something heartfelt and honest.

Garvas

Garvas is not creating individual pieces for his audience to appreciate. He is creating an entire world and narrative panel by panel like a graphic novel. Using AI, generative coding and motion graphics Garvas’s creations are able to stand alone on their own merit but are part of something much bigger. Combining unique ways to reward early collectors Garvas is using a vast set of skills to tell a story and engage his audience in the experience. The only problem now is waiting for his actual novel, Against the Dragon Order.

Gelapekat

Gelapakat sets these collages in motion that bring to life ancient golden statues. Gelepakat places into these culturally significant pieces modern golden staples: Meowth in GOLD)N and a golden mushroom from Mariokart in GOLD)N #2. Gelapakat shows it is possible to respect your heritage while still being a part of modern society.

Marina Malik

Ukrainian artist Marina Malik was overlooked in the month the NFT space focused on supporting Ukrainian artists. Let this serve as a reminder that while many of us have gone back to our regularly scheduled programming in our own lives, for many their struggle continues. Combining abstract geometric shapes and cubism in her series People Marina tells the stories of those who simply want to live their lives and love. When facing troubling, destructive times it is easy to lose hope and meaning. Marina’s art reminds us of the importance of our connection with each other and that the most important reason to continue living when the world feels like it is falling apart around us is to love.

Each UNDRGRND DIGS will feature artists our curators have purchased for the UNDRGRND Collection. UNDRGRND will airdrop pieces from our collection to community members via giveaways.
