Christie’s Launches Auction Platform on Ethereum

Christie’s British auction house has launched its own NFT art platform, Christie’s 3.0, that will feature drops curated by Christie’s.

Although previous NFT auctions on Christie’s made headlines–such as Beeple’s “Everydays: The First 5,000 Days” artwork selling for 69.3 million USD in March 2021–the actual transactions did not take place on-chain. Now, Christie’s 3.0 is exclusively on-chain and the only currency accepted at the moment is ether.

The platform also includes a virtual gallery where you can explore the art pieces that are showcased in the auctions.

The inaugural auction, Phases, is a collection of nine works by visual artist Diana Sinclair in which she explores the narratives of memory and time, truth and fabrication, progress and loss. Bidding is taking place from the 28th of September to the 11th of October.

Nike’s RTFKT Previews First Real-Life Cryptokicks Sneakers

Nice, the media company specializing in sneakers, have released the first image of the CRYPTOKICKS.

RTFKT (pronounced “artifact”), the web3 brand that became a part of Nike last year, is looking to expand into the physical world with its first shoe. This upcoming sneaker is an entirely new build using Nike’s electronic lacing Adapt technology.

Nothing has officially been announced yet. We’ll release further details as they become available.

While many NFT projects may have generated enormous sums of money through FOMO a year ago, this is not the case today. We are in another phase, a phase in which education is the basis of any new project.

The web3 ecosystem is growing and needs builders. There is a lack of people with the talent, knowledge, and commitment to take this technology to the next level. HumanDAO aims to solve this problem.

What is humanDAO?

HumanDAO’s goal is to help people around the world through cryptographic platforms and protocols. They began their journey by offering scholarships for Play-to-Earn (P2E) games. This helped them create a solid base of users. HumanDAO is now focused on pursuing new opportunities, educating, and empowering their local communities.

At humanDAO, you can learn about the crypto ecosystem and its opportunities, develop your knowledge and skills, find a job, or lend assets.

How does humanDAO work?

The humanDAO network is multi-layered and structured to seek out new opportunities, stimulate growth, decentralize decision-making, and preserve the DAO’s treasury. HumanDAO is divided into subDAOs: there is a main DAO that is branched into several sub-projects that act independently, though all share the humanDAO philosophy.

SubDAOs are composed of experts, users, players, and collaborators who plan next steps. SubDAOs have their governance structure but share the same token with the main DAO, which is HDAO. This ensures that all HDAO token holders benefit from the success of every entity in humanDAO.

Governance

The humanDAO governance process is similar to other DAOs:

• Owning hDAO tokens gives the holder a say in the future of the DAO.

• Any member can launch a proposal. The community accepts and implements proposals by voting.

• They have a forum where they discuss everything. If an agreement is reached, the proposal is launched.

HumanDAO currently works mainly as a job board via their Pocket Assistant, and as an educational center via the humanDAO Academy.

Pocket Assistant NFTs

This wouldn’t belong in Decentralized Arts if there weren’t NFTs! PANFT is the web3 solution that humanDAO has designed to answer the age-long question, “how can I be more productive?” This innovative service offers you a community of assistants ready to carry out tasks for you.

The types of tasks that can be delegated include, but are not limited to:

• personal tasks

• price shop best deals for a product or service

• travel & event planning research

• confirm appointments

• data management

• transcribe audio or notes from a webinar

• create or update spreadsheets

• web3 research

Once your PANFT is activated, you get 20 “energy bars” per week. Each bar is equivalent to 30 minutes of a Pocket Assistant’s (PA) time, which means you can potentially save 10 hours of work per week. To activate the NFT, you must stake 10,000 HDAO tokens, which currently amounts to approximately 150 USD. As long as your HDAO is staked, you can use the energy system to assign tasks weekly.

humanDAO Academy

To reach their goal of helping people on their web3 journey, humanDAO has partnered with BanklessDAO and Bankless Academy to launch their educational platform, humanDAO Academy.

Members will receive a non-transferable NFT, or soulbound token (SBT), in exchange for completing lessons and modules. These NFTs will become more and more useful as humanDAO grows. They will serve as credentials.

Available modules, as they appear on their site, include:

What’s coming?

HumanDAO's mission is to maximize the value of new cryptographic innovations like NFTs and P2E for its members. Since the crypto ecosystem is constantly evolving, it is too early to say how far this community will go. However, you can see the complete humanDAO roadmap here.
