Ever since I decided to publish weekly on Medium (since April 2022), I’ve earned over $200 — just by hitting ‘publish’ on content I was going to write anyway.

The extra $200 is nice.

But you’re not likely to earn your retirement fund on Medium.

But money isn’t the point.

I got a really kind reply to a recent Medium article. And it was from a complete stranger.

It's one of the best compliments I've ever received about my writing:

The last thing I want to create is fluffy, commodity content that doesn't help anyone. That isn't tactical or actionable in any way. I don't want to write it because I hate reading it.

It's a waste of my time to read it and worse, to write it. It's a waste of your time to consume it.

I want to always "deliver on the promise of creating and giving value."

Every day I can do that is energy well spent.
