Power BI Weekly #180 - 24th October 2022
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #180
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 180th edition of Power BI Weekly! We've been given the Power BI October 2022 Feature Summary this week, and there are a few gems in there. There's a new experimental feature around Quick measure suggestions, whereby you can type your calculation in plain language and have Power BI take a crack at writing your DAX code for you. Pretty neat - though I wonder what the accuracy will be like! In the model view in Power BI Desktop we now have Relationship editing in the properties pane, and DAX formula bar support for Desktop model view (so no more switching tabs just to see your measure/column/table logic). It is also now possible to Download a PBIX from the Power BI Service for more scenarios, and we have been told about the new submetric roll ups in Power BI Metrics.
Finally, this is the last call for those who want to attend our free, in-person Modern Data DevOps with Azure Synapse Analytics Workshop in London (UK) on Nov 2nd (next Wednesday). Sign-up within the next day if you'd like to attend!
If you have any content you'd like to contribute to the newsletter, please tweet @PowerBIWeekly or ping an email to PowerBIWeekly@endjin.com.
