This week, we’re looking at the top three grammar things I always need to look up. Comma splices are my nemesis. I’m sure you’ve noticed my ongoing battle with correct comma usage. I want to put commas where I breathe when speaking. Problem is, that is not how one should use commas. Second problem, I can never remember the proper way to use commas. Final problem, individual comma problems are not easily Googled. Unlike commas, however, there are certain grammar things I can look up. No matter how many times I use the items below, I am constantly doing a quick Google to ensure my usage is correct. Why I can’t remember these things (or all the other rules in Strunk & White *affiliate link*) is beyond me.
