We had some fun on The Lever’s podcast network this week. On Lever Time, David got a full explainer on last week’s cryptocurrency implosion from two crypto policy experts. If you’ve ever had the thought, “Cryptocurrency seems like a giant scam,” it turns out you were one hundred percent correct. Then, we discussed last week’s midterm elections, which saw major wins for progressives across the country. In fact, one of our reporters even attended a D.C. event on Sunday welcoming eleven of its new progressive House members. Sadly, The Audit will be taking a break for the next several weeks, as they decompress from watching several hours of George W. Bush lectures.

In the new episode of Lever Time, David Sirota discusses the recent implosion of the cryptocurrency market following the collapse of the FTX exchange and resignation of its CEO. David is joined by journalist and crypto policy expert Jacob Silverman, as well as director of research at the American Economic Liberties Project Matt Stoller, who explain the crypto debacle, why regulators were asleep at the wheel, and what should be done to fix the problem.
