GOP-led states want to keep Trump border rule

• Monday, 15 Republican-led states asked a federal judge to keep in place a pandemic-era rule that allows US officials to turn away migrants at the southern border. [NBC News / Julia Ainsley and Summer Concepcion]
• The judge previously ruled the policy, known as Title 42, is unlawful because it endangers people fleeing violence, and doesn’t prevent the spread of Covid-19. The restrictions are set to end on December 21. [New York Times / Miriam Jordan]
