The U.S. Department of Justice will prosecute the former CEO of Vancouver, Wash.-based biotech company CytoDyn and an associate for allegedly defrauding investors.

• The pair allegedly lied about the development and regulatory status of an investigational drug, leronlimab, in order to inflate CytoDyn’s stock value. Read more. 

British Columbia-based Svante raised a $318 million round led by Chevron New Energies, a division of the fossil fuel giant Chevron.

• The new funding will help the company build two commercial-sized carbon filter manufacturing facilities. Read more.
