Another year in social media, another year of strategic digital marketing transformation.

On Monday, we sent out our top social media news stories from 2022. Today, we're looking at the most significant trends that we've seen take shape this year.

It’s no surprise that TikTok’s influence has continued to impact the social media and digital marketing world in 2022. Although TikTok’s data tracking policies are still of concern and continue to be scrutinized by U.S. lawmakers, the COVID-born obsession with the latest social media giant has only increased as its userbase, and ultimate influence, expands across the globe.

In 2022, we saw major algorithm prioritization shifts, forcing marketers to step up their short-form video game. Small changes like these have had a much larger impact on the way brands are approaching social media.
