Flavio - Goodbye 2022, hello 2023!
Hi Reader
I am writing you this email to thank you for being one of my dear newsletter subscribers.
It’s December 30 and it’s time to wrap up the year.
I hope 2022 has been a good year for you.
And I hope 2023 will be even better.
I’m sipping a coffee and I’m thinking of all the good things that happened this year.
In 2022 I launched The Valley of Code, a new home for the collection of all my 15 free coding handbooks (more to come!). I wrote 6 new books, and I also somehow found the time to write 153 blog posts.
I also did the 2022 cohort of the Bootcamp, the first in its new “home” bootcamp.dev, in a completely new format focused on helping you become a React + Next.js developer, and it’s been great.
2023 will start with a bang.
On Jan 24, I will open signups to the 2023 edition of the Bootcamp.
The Bootcamp will start on Feb 1.
I want it to be transformative for you and what better way to start the new year with a new goal? The goal of becoming a Web Developer that really knows how to use React and Next.js to create incredible websites.
Since I started preparing the new 2023 cohort I’ve been working really hard at the Bootcamp.
This will be the best edition ever.
We’ll first have 10 weeks of theory.
It’s a cohort course, so we’ll do one new module every week.
We’ll learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, using JavaScript inside the browser, using Node.js to run JS on the server creating APIs, then we’ll switch gears and learn a ton of modern tech like React, Next.js, SQL databases, PostgreSQL, the Prisma ORM, and NextAuth.
I’m preparing a ton of demos we’ll do in those first 10 weeks.
And you'll get to be part of a once-a-year event with a ton of people from all over the world, with all kinds of backgrounds and ages, all with the same goal, learning how to become a Web Developer together!
Then, once the first 10 weeks of the Bootcamp are over, you’ll be equipped to work on projects and I’ll unlock your access to PROTOTYPED, a library of cool, real-world projects all built using React and Next.js, reserved for Bootcamp students.
You can read all the details, the schedule, the list of projects, the opinions of alumni, details about pricing at bootcamp.dev
I hope you’ll be one of us.
I created the Bootcamp to help you become a Web Developer, help you bring a change to your life, enable you to create your dream project, find the job you’ve always wanted, or even create your own software and sell it.
Everything is possible these days.
The sky’s the limit.
All you need is motivation and a clear path ahead of you.
That’s what I’m here for.
I wish you a happy end of the year and whatever your dreams are for 2023, I hope you will realize all of them.
Happy 2023 🎉
