Good morning. Today we’re listening to Moby, an electronic music producer from Connecticut. We continue to ring in the new year with Moby’s Jan 1 release, Ambient 23, a two-and-a-half-hour ambient record. Moby cut his teeth in New York’s post-punk and dance music scenes in the early ‘90s. That decade, he released a few dance records that charted in the U.K. and the U.S, helping electronic music find mainstream audiences. In recent years he’s dialed it back and focused on ambient music, of which today’s recommendation is an example.
