This week, we’re looking at my top three little things I enjoy. The other day, I was taking my kiddo to a playdate at a local museum. It’s across town and our arrival time would depend on how long we had to wait for a train. (DC metro is known for its many problems.) As we walked through the fare gate, our train was arriving and we walked right on and found a seat. It’s little things like that which thrill me. We often hear about grand inventions and trends for the future. Big innovations are great but it’s the little, everyday things that make daily life easier. I’m thinking of things like zip lock tops on snacks, so you can reseal things; Tupperware with a venting lid to keep splatter down in the microwave; or, having that perfectly placed pocket in your bag to stash your Chapstick or hand sanitizer. The little things are easy to overlook, but I am grateful and excited when I encounter that one small thing that makes me life easier in the moment.
