Get Paid to Do Your New Year Resolutions
Jen “Odd” Glantz here! Happy new year, my dear odd friend. Perhaps you set goals for the year ahead OR maybe it’s on your to-do list to set those goals. Either way, let’s talk about ways you can get paid to actually get moving and grooving on your new year resolutions. Whether you promised to quit watching hours of Netflix or to walk 10k steps a day, I found many different ways for you to get paid just by following through on those goals of yours. Let’s dive into it all! PS. I have (3) open spots for 1:1 coaching this month. These go fast so if you ever wanted to work together on a life-career-side hustle strategy, I’ve got your back. This week’s sponsor is awesome - SunsamaOne of the biggest things I’m working on this new year is getting better with managing my time and my to-do list. Lately, I’ve found myself “clocking out” of work at 10:30pm, which is way past my bedtime. When I look at why that’s happening, it’s mostly because I’m not as organized as I need to be. For the past few months, I’ve started using Sunsama, a virtual planning assistant that has helped me establish a routine and pulls in my emails, calendar events, and tasks into one single app, so I know exactly how to focus on my day ahead. Super happy with the platform. Give it a try and plan your day in Sunsama. New Year, New You, New Ways to Make MoneyWell, hello there. Look at us! We made it to 2023. How does it feel? I started the year eating Cheetos and ice cream, watching 7 episodes of the Sopranos, and lounging around the house in fuzzy socks. I never do any of that. I’m usually a go, go, go, go kind of person. Honestly, the stamina and energy people but behind the resolutions they set and forget is how my personality is on a normal Saturday. I’m a bit intense. So I started the year as chill as possible. I don’t feel bad about it at all. As I was covered in Cheeto crumbs, I thought about what the most common New Year’s Resolutions are and it turns out - they are not odd at all. But what is that you can make money while you attempt to live, love, and laugh more in 2023 (or whatever your resolutions are). So let’s take a look at the odd-ball ways to get paid to make your resolutions come true. You Set Resolutions, They Make Major CashHealthy = HappyPerhaps the #1 resolution that is made in January is a push to be healthier. No more Cheetos, Jen? I just need to balance the Cheetos with kale. BUT if you want to exercise or eat healthy, why not get paid to do so? →Healthwager: bet on your weight loss and make money →Evidation: get paid to do healthy things (eating, moving around, etc.) →Lifecoin: another way to get paid for being..healthy! Find LoveThe most popular day of the year for being to get back on dating apps is the first day of the year. So if you’re committing to trying to find love, earn cash while you try. →If you start to find that you’re good at dating apps, you can create your own dating concierge service and charge others to manage their profile or messages →Become a matchmaker and maybe you’ll find love in the process →You can do those “rent a date” services but that’s a whole other kind of gig that we will explore another time. Get Out of the HouseSo many kick the new year off by vowing to travel more. So if you want to pack your bags and get out of your house, here’s how you can do that while getting cash. → Tour company: get a gig at a tour company (TopDeck or STS) → Be a bike guide: work for a company like Backroads and get paid to lead bike tours → Cruise gigs: if you love the water and boats, find a job on a cruise ship. → Backdoor jobs: work while traveling all over the world Focus on MeIf your resolutions are centered around self-care and doing awesome things for yourself, try these ways to get paid while you’re doing those things: →Get paid to sleep: sleep is so important, you know? →Make money testing products: from healthy chips to face masks →Eager to read more this year? These websites will pay you for that. →Want to just chill more and play video games in 2023? Check out these ways to get paid.
