After years of tapping an accelerator and brake pedal, the phrase “one-pedal driving” may sound like a dangerous joke. But it’s a real thing. And naturally, it’s something that you’ll only find in electric and hybrid vehicles.

One-pedal contributes to the “regenerative braking” system in electric and hybrid cars. Essentially, the car’s electric motor helps to slow down the vehicle, reducing the need for the brake and generating electricity for the battery.
