The end of an NFL season for is never happy for 31 teams.

There's only one Super Bowl champion, while the others think about what might have been and what could be next season. But there are moments in defeat that can propel a team into the next season.

Below is a video of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence walking off the field after losing to the Kansas Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs last weekend.

Lawrence stops in the tunnel with Chiefs fans screaming, waiting for his teammates to return to their locker room. He thanks them for their efforts, then reminds every player, "We will be back."

The selfless act is really an amazing display of leadership. Lawrence wasn't thinking about himself or throwing a pity party in the moments after defeat. He was instead fully cognizant of the moment and instinctively knew he could help his team.

Lawrence is just 23 but acted with tremendous maturity to show the world what selfless leadership really looks like.

Lawrence knew instinctively "what was the right thing to do now — and how best can I achieve the right thing."
