Hello, Insiders. This week, I’m focusing my notes on the war in Ukraine. Today, let’s dig into American support. It's been massive — about $76.8 billion in aid. Biden recently made a daring trip to Kyiv to reaffirm US support of Ukrainian efforts against Russia. But will it continue? For how long?

Public support for Biden's efforts in Ukraine is split along party lines. As of January, according to Pew, 61% of Democrats approve of his response — as opposed to only around a quarter of Republicans. But one thing many Americans seem to agree on: They’re growing tired of support without diplomacy. Many want the US to pursue diplomatic negotiations to end the war.
