Elezea: resources for product leaders - Leaving Substack, going web-first
Over the past few weeks I have been experimenting with posting content on the blog first, and then syndicating it everywhere else, including this newsletter (the indieweb community calls this POSSE—”Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere”). I am now happy with how that setup is working, so I am going to stop pulling the content into this newsletter manually every week. It didn’t feel right to move email addresses over to the new provider (Mailchimp) without your consent, so if you want to keep getting these emails please take 10 seconds to click on the giant orange button below and re-subscribe¹. The new emails use the RSS feed of the blog to send you a roundup of new content on Mondays and Thursdays. The content will remain the same, but this removes a time-consuming manual step from the process, and it also fits my goals to embrace the open web better. The other benefit of this is that if you’d rather not get Yet Another Email you now have lots of options to subscribe, including the RSS feed, as well as dedicated social media accounts on LinkedIn, Mastodon, and even that sad, broken little site called Twitter. There is a much longer story behind this move and at some point I might write a more philosophical, meandering take on it—but don’t worry, today is not that day. Thank you, as always, for reading and supporting Elezea! Here’s one more giant orange button to click in case you missed the first one: See you in the inbox on Monday! 💛 Rian P.S. If you prefer links over giant orange buttons, you can subscribe here. 1 I know I’m asking you to do work and for that I’m sorry! I just couldn’t get myself to sign people up for a thing without them explicitly asking for it. I’ll make it up to you with some excellent Content™, I promise. |
