🚨 TREND ALERT

The US market for home services is massive and you don’t have to swing a hammer to get in on the action.

How massive exactly? $657B in 2022, according to Angi Inc. (parent of HomeAdvisor and Angie’s List):

Angi Inc. pulled in more than $900m in 2022 from “consumer connection revenue” (AKA selling leads to contractors).

We see an opportunity to do this on a far smaller scale. Two examples:

1. Sell phone calls. When it comes to home service leads, live phone calls are king. Lead gen sites use SEO & PPC to capture qualified traffic and then use software to route those calls straight to contractors (for a fee).
   
   
2. Build an online directory. Like the yellow pages (Google it Gen Z), contractors pay to be listed and, sometimes, for each click their listing gets. According to one industry insider: “It’s much easier to sell the listings than it is to sell the clicks,” he said. “But if you sell clicks you can charge top dollar, because all you gotta do is charge a little less than what the PPC rate is.”

According to Angi, the industries with the fewest available contractors are landscape architecture, insulation, cement & concrete, pest control, and tree trimming.

• Attention: You’re trying to get someone's attention with something they will think is interesting or curious. They might not be paying close attention, so this should be something very relevant to them!
  
  
• Interest: Keep their interest with interesting facts, quotes, or use cases.
  
  
• Desire: Make them desire the product/service themselves. Show them how their life will be better with your product.
  
  
• Action: Make them take a single specific action by telling them what to do next. This is how you get signups or make sales.
