• A Manhattan grand jury on Thursday voted to indict former President Donald Trump over fraud associated with payments to hide an affair with porn actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign. [Vox / Nicole Narea and Ian Millhiser]

Turkey ratifies Finland’s NATO bid

• The Turkish Parliament on Thursday approved Finland’s bid to join NATO while keeping Sweden waiting to join the defense alliance. [CNN / Ivana Kottasová]
• Finland and Sweden reversed their long-time neutral stance and asked to join the 30-state bloc following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. However, objections from Turkey and Hungary delayed the process. [Reuters]
