Despite the sarcasm, there's a lot of truth in this.

Parkinson's law states that "work expands to fill the amount of time allocated to it" and we see this play out in real life e.g.

Countries with the highest average working hours, are also the ones with the lowest productivity.

We are human after all.

When we work long hours → we get tired → produce lower quality work.

With a 4 day week, employees are sharper. More focused. More productive.
