Digest #105: Kubernetes CronJobs at Scale 🚀

#105: Kubernetes CronJobs at Scale

This week, I have curated another set of noteworthy tutorials, guides, and open-source projects, all designed to enhance your DevOps skills.

We'll kick things off with a comprehensive guide on how to build a CI/CD pipeline using a Pipeline as Code approach for a Lambda-based application. This will be followed by a deep dive into using Terraform's latest check{} block feature.

One post that caught my eye explains the single Postgres setting that nearly took down an entire database. Speaking of databases, we'll also be exploring some common patterns for refactoring relational database models as part of a microservices architecture.

In addition to these, there's an excellent guide to Terraform's best practices. For those handling websites SEO, we'll delve into how to dynamically change the meta tags for each website URL using DynamoDB and Lambda Edge. We will also learn the significance of running incident post-mortems.

For this week's open-source project highlights, we have a trio of Kubernetes-focused tools: A handy CLI that effortlessly converts Kubernetes specifications to ECS Fargate and vice-versa, Ahoy - your go-to Kubernetes release management tool, and a Kubernetes-native testing framework designed for seamless test execution and orchestration.

Stay curious, keep learning, and enjoy the read!
