An unexpected resource for traffic & earnings

Do you have a YouTube channel set up for your website or business?

If not, you should definitely consider it.

Why?

Because you could be missing out on a boatload of free traffic and earnings to pad your pockets.

And you don't even have to be on camera if you don't want.

Here's what happened to me...

A few years back, I created a YouTube channel for a niche site I was working on.

I took my best-performing product review pages and turned them into 300-word scripts which highlighted the top 3 products out of the 10 that were reviewed on the page.

I then hired a friendly girl on Fiverr to be my spokesperson and she read the scripts on camera for me.

Next, I overlaid 3 simple graphics for the 3 products I was promoting in the video. (They were super simple with bullet points of the top features and benefits for each product mentioned in the script.)

Finally, I added a link back to the original review article on the website PLUS my Amazon affiliate links in the YouTube description.

That was it.

At first, I didn't see much impact from that strategy. So I gave up on the channel and worked on something else.

Then, out of the blue one day, a friend of mine said:

"Dude! Have you seen your YouTube channel?"

"No," I replied.

"Go check it out! It's blowing up!"

And sure enough it was.

The YouTube channel had amassed 800+ subscribers and thousands of watched video hours.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

And within the next month, I was able monetize that channel when it surpassed 1,000 subscribers.

In total, it generate $900 in extra earnings per month on autopilot: $400 from the YouTube ads and $500 from the Amazon affiliate links.

As you can see, this basic YouTube channel I set up and forgot about became a great income source for my business.

The website also got a decent amount of referral traffic from people who wanted to click over and read the complete, in-depth reviews.

Now, if I were to do this all over again, I would definitely put myself on camera and OWN the brand because:

• Authenticity increases conversions like magic.
• It would cost me nothing if I was the on screen talent.
• I could crank out a ton of these short videos faster than any Fiverr spokesperson could deliver.
• I'd make a stronger connection with my target audience which would lead to an even larger flood of sales.

That's just how I roll these days.

But there's no rule saying you have to.

You may feel perfectly happy outsourcing the work like I did or even creating a faceless YouTube channel.

Any way you do it, it can work.
