What’s that bright green beacon on the shoreline of Bill Gates’ estate?

Amazon says it has filed more than 94 lawsuits against fake product review sites around the world so far this year, which already exceeds the number filed by the company last year. It’s the legal equivalent of swatting at flies. Amazon this morning made a public appeal for help.

• Amazon has separately started testing the use of AI to summarize product reviews on its e-commerce site, as reported by CNBC on Monday evening.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission filed an injunction to block Microsoft’s acquisition of video game developer Activision Blizzard. Microsoft made its $68.7 billion bid for the maker of “Call of Duty,” “Diablo,” and “Candy Crush” in January 2022. Read more.
