Azure Weekly - Power BI Weekly #213 - 27th June 2023
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #213
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 213th edition of Power BI Weekly! Yet another positive outcome for Microsoft in the Forrester Wave™ analysis for Augmented BI Platforms, Q2 2023, where Microsoft has been named a Leader (unsurprisingly). Yet again, well done to the Power BI Fabric team and the wider Microsoft data teams for this achievement! As for more "normal" announcements, we've been told about the new, additional Multitasking improvements for Power BI in Microsoft Teams, with some smarter caching mechanisms to allow you to pick up where you left off much more easily. And we've been told about the On-premises data gateway June 2023 release, which adds support for Fabric Lakehouse connectivity over the gateway, and highlights that the 'EnableWebView2' flag is now opt-out - pay attention for those of you who have yet to make the switch.
Elsewhere this week, Zoe Douglas has joined Patrick Leblanc to Dig into dynamic format strings for DAX measures in Power BI, and Bernat Agulló is back with a helpful blog about how to Sort a Matrix by a Calculation Item Column.
If you have any content you'd like to contribute to the newsletter, please tweet @PowerBIWeekly or ping an email to PowerBIWeekly@endjin.com.
