Devastating floods keep the Northeast on alert

Israel rages against judicial overhaul demonstrations

• Tuesday, thousands of people took over the streets and blocked Israel’s main airport in renewed protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s divisive judicial reforms. [BBC / Raffi Berg]
• Tensions erupted a day after Netanyahu’s ultranationalist, hardline government pushed forward a bill that limits the Supreme Court’s power to review government decisions. At least 66 were arrested in clashes with police. [Reuters / Rami Amichay]
