Odd Jobs - Odd Ways to Get Paid to Picnic
Jen “Odd” Glantz here! I’ve been spending a lot of time in the park this summer taking my baby on long strolls. Something interesting I’ve seen are these elaborate park picnic birthday parties popping up. When I was a kid, a park birthday party included table cloths from the dollars store and a few pies from Pizza Hut. But these parties I’ve seen lately look like they are taking place in Beverly Hills - not the middle of Brooklyn. I decided to dive in deeper and find different ways that you could get into the park picnic bizz. Let me know what you think! PS. If you need a summer pick-me-up, check out: coaching + courses Odd Ways to Get Paid to PicnicPicnic Catering or Event Planning:If you enjoy organizing and creating unique picnic experiences, you can offer picnic catering or event planning services. Market your services to individuals, couples, or companies looking for customized and memorable picnic setups. This could involve providing gourmet picnic meals, setting up themed picnics, or offering additional services like games and activities. Some luxury picnic businesses make approximately between $12,000 to $15,000 a month. Here’s an example of a NYC company that brands themselves as the luxury picnic company. This is another picnic company that chargers per person. A cool company that does pop-up picnics and offers two different themes. Super simple example of a company that’s no frills and just offers picnic set-ups. If you like party planning and have time for a weekend side hustle - this could be a really profitable and fun option. Picnic parties aren’t going away anytime soon. They are making a major comeback. Find a niche: kids, engagement, birthday, etc. and run with it. Alternative ideas:
If you’re into the idea, here’s how you can get started:
