Bustle - It's The Summer Of Sexyy Red

I’ve heard people lament the lack of a summer 2023 anthem to which I say, please turn on some Sexyy Red and be normal. I was familiar with the St. Louis rapper before I went on vacation last month, but after hearing ‘Poundtown’ more times than I could count — courtesy of the resort playlist — I became a fan. In the time since, ‘SkeeYee’ has gone diamond in my household and she somehow managed to kick it up a notch with an acoustic version, Capri Sun in hand. I’m lowkey devastated that I didn’t get tickets for her NYC show in October, as I plan to throw a sexy and red-themed Sammieween party to ring in my 31st birthday. Onward and upward until I snag a good re-sale or (someone slides me an extra ticket).

P.S. As if my baby fever could not get any worse, Rihanna and Serena Williams are both officially mothers of two.

Every time she graces the red carpet, it’s a hit! Let’s celebrate that!
