Letters for Creatives - Taking inventory of my surroundings
Hello, this is Celeste and welcome to the Letters for Creatives newsletter. I have been writing poems since 2017 and fiction since 2022. This is the place where I share my thoughts and find resources for writers and creatives. Subscribe and join other creatives to receive tips and resources on writing, creativity, Interview With an Artist and Interview With a Creator series. Do you like your work?Every once in a while, I would need a pep talk. At this period of my life, I can put the blame on Mercury retrograde. Again! I just wish that retrograde is a thing or I should just pick myself up after making the same mistake again. I am ready for a different lesson in a spiritual sense.
If you want me to interview someone doing creative projects, hit reply and let me know who they are. Finding your next stepI have known myself quite well through the years. I am someone who needs intellectual stimulation or simply stimulation. The best ways that have done that for me was either get a job that is satisfying my need for that, talk with someone with similar interest/path or read what they have in mind. Paul Millerd would be the first person that comes to mind. His podcast episode with Tom Critchlow is another great one to listen to if you are in the midst of uncertainty like me. If you are looking for your people, you can find it anywhere. Substack, Instagram and X (Twitter) are the main places where I find mine. Doing the interview series has also got me to know people who I would never know. Most of them are thousands miles away. The only reason I haven’t left Twitter is because of my mutuals. If you missed it, check out my interviews with: Paul Millerd, Danny Miranda, Alisa Bacon, Joelle Bahdo, Colin Tan and more If you have been thinking about starting a side project or finding friends online, this is your sign. I promise you would meet people with similar interests. This week challenge:For 2023, here would be a creative or writing challenge every other week. The first 5 challenges are here. The remaining biweekly challenges would be accessible for paid subscribers. You could gain the access for free after 40 of your friends subscribe with this link . Previously for paid subscribers: Challenge 6-10
