Y Combinator - Meet the YC Summer 2023 Batch

This Week at YC

September 12, 2023
This past week was a big one for YC's S23 class. As this batch wraps up, it was time for Demo Day — the day (or days, really) when the startups from this latest cohort pitched an audience of 1,500+ investors and media on what they've been working on.

Couldn’t be at Demo Day, but still want to see what the S23 companies are up to? You can find a directory of nearly all of them here.

YC president Garry Tan wrote up a post that sheds a bit of light on this latest batch, including stats on this group and insight on how we picked the companies. There's news about the next Demo Day in there, too!

🟧 Meet the YC Summer 2023 Batch

"My first YC Demo Day was in summer of 2008," writes Garry, "where my startup and twenty-one others anxiously pitched a room full of investors on what we’d been working so hard to build."

"Fifteen years later, I’m here as YC’s president kicking off our 37th Demo Day — the one celebrating the Summer 2023 batch. I’ve seen a lot of batches in the last decade and a half, and I can say without a doubt: this is a good one. It’s one of the strongest YC batches ever."
