How our contributors made “The United States of Florida” possible

 The United States of Florida is also important to us because it’s our first big project funded by the Contributions Newsroom Fund, a pool of money earmarked from Vox Contributions that are allotted to projects we otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford. Usually your contributions go into the general budget for our journalism, which are big buckets of money for things like salaries and paying freelance writers. The newsroom fund lets editors pull money for very specific projects. Vox’s reporting belongs to all of our readers, but we’re so proud that projects like these are being directly funded by contributions from members of this community. 

Will you help us do more work like this by making a contribution today? We’re looking to add 2,500 new contributions this month, to fund our policy work as the 2024 election cycle heats up.
