Meta Quest 3 Is Like the Apple Vision Pro, but 1/7th the Price

When Apple unveiled its Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset early this Summer, it felt like a glimpse into the future. The idea that the headset allows you to overlay apps in the real world (like placing cooking timers on each dish you're cooking in the kitchen) and even use video passthrough to stream content while you're doing chores felt like we'd soon see the perfect blend of our digital and physical worlds next year. But it may have some stiff competition thanks to the Meta Quest 3.

What makes it so competitive? For starters, the Meta Quest 3 provides similar functionality as the Apple Vision Pro - but at $3000 less. Big deal, right? It's also releasing well before the Apple Vision Pro's release date.
