How the National Archives is using AI to preserve and share history: The Archivist of the United States, Colleen Shogan (above with Microsoft President Brad Smith), visited Seattle this week, addressing issues including the National Archives' digital transition and use of artificial intelligence. She discussed how AI is helping with public records requests, such as extracting military records and redacting personal information. Flexport reportedly interested in Convoy tech: According to The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco-based logistics startup is working on a deal to hire a small team from the Seattle trucking marketplace that closed down last week.

Amazon stock was up more than 7% this morning following the company’s third quarter earnings report, which beat analyst expectations for revenue and profit. Operating income of $11.2 billion more than quadrupled compared to the year-ago quarter.


Blue Origin lunar lander ready for photo op:
