I'm Ditching Pants For This Chic Fall Alternative

As the holiday season rapidly approaches — and the balmy Los Angeles weather finally cools — my thoughts are focused on my winter look. While, traditionally, old staples like crisp black or plaid trousers and easy one-and-done sweater dresses are no-brainers around this time of year, I'm ready to flip the script. This season, I want to take a fresh approach on holiday dressing via small tweaks and swaps that deliver big impact. For example, instead of roomy light wash denim pants, I'll try a dark jean maxi skirt or Bermuda short to pair with my cardigans and oversized blazers. And with nostalgia forever on my brain, I'll also give my beauty look a seasonal refresh, pulling inspiration from the '90s. Yes, the next three months will likely see me in all manner of mocha brown lipstick and wispy bangs, á la Mariah Carey in her Butterfly era. 'Tis the season to be experimental, no? Cheers to that!
