Your newsletter editors have an unfortunate weakness for shopping cute things. So anytime Wirecutter’s gift writers drop anything into Slack, our wallets shudder a little. Their taste is, unsurprisingly, really good. So of course we had to ask: What are the people who shop year-round for others putting on their own wishlists?

• This decadent Kate McLeod Daily Stone Lotion Bar would make staff writer Samantha Schoech happy, because “it’s a little luxury I wouldn’t get for myself, and I have terribly dry winter skin.” She’s also asking for Birkenstock Arizona EVAs because even though she owns three pairs of Birks already, she wants a kick-around pair for gardening or the beach.
• Senior editor Jennifer Hunter has been eyeing this silk pajama set for years and no one has put it under her tree yet. Rude! She’s also eyeing something on the sillier side: a backscratcher. “I love a good back scratch, so this would be the perfect little cheapie gift for someone to show they get me,” she says.
• Supervising editor Hannah Morrill has her sights set on reclaiming her sense of style. She wants this chic, comfy bra (in black, please) and a Mejuri Pavé Diamond Huggie Hoop to replace the one that fell victim to her kids’ roughhousing.
