Odd Jobs - $450 to Walk Around a Party?
Jen “Odd” Glantz here! ‘Tis the season to have your calendar jam-packed with get togethers. I’ve RSVP’ed no to 99% of the parties I was invited to this season because I’m tired. This year was a real doozy and I’m still recovering from the sleep deprivation that comes with being a new mom. So while I won’t be attending one white elephant party or office party, you might. When you’re there, look around. Some of these more lavish parties are paying big bucks on odd entertainers, food and beverage stations, and even party favors. Maybe it’ll spark some inspiration for a side hustle you can pull off in the new year to earn extra cash in the party + entertaining sphere. Scroll to read some of the highest paying gigs at parties. The Odd List of Random Things🛠️ Tools: Here are some of my go-to platforms to useI built these AI tools and am super proud of them. The best fitness app - I use this daily Party Pleasing Side HustlesStilt Walker: If you’re not afraid of heights, this gig can pay over $450 Coffee Cart: Create a branded coffee cart that you can setup at parties and events. Earn $300+ an hour. Singing Telegram: If I threw myself a birthday party, I’d hire a singing telegram to just show up and surprise the audience. Be one and earn $100+ an hour. Decorate the Party: Be an interior designer but in a party setting. Show up, set up, and transform the entire room. Earn $500+ Become Santa: Start now to become Santa by next Christmas. You could make $49,000 a year with this 2-month job Learn Magic: I hired a magican at my birthday party last year and it was a hit. If you’re outgoing, good with magic, and can entertain skeptical people, you can earn $200 an hour doing this. Flower Stand: Set up a flower stand as a party vendor and help people DIY their own bouquets. Earn $750+ a party. Do any of these ideas inspire you? I often search sites like this one to find interesting party vendors and how much they charge. I’ll be back next year with more odd jobs! Until then, dive into our archives here or read my other newsletter, The Pick Me Up. Love, Jen Glantz You're currently a free subscriber to Odd Jobs.
