[Sun-messenger]

Lynn Xu

Sun-messenger
call Life
to me

slowly
and all at
once criss-
crossing in that golden
light

                                   Snail
                       with your moving shroud
                       Silver tree
            with your thousand roadways

            O dream
hurry
go past me

“I wrote this poem after receiving Claudia Rankine’s invitation to send something for the series, so I suppose it is an occasional poem—written for the occasion to share a poem with you.”
