As you know, our team is on vacation right now and will be back in your inbox with our regularly scheduled newsletters and podcasts starting on Monday, January 8th. But, as promised, we're writing today to let you know that we just published a brand new video on our YouTube channel about misinformation and fake news that has spread like wildfire in the three months since Hamas’s attack on Israel and the subsequent fighting in Gaza.

I think this is the most important video we've ever done. It includes dozens of examples of misreported or downright false news that has gone viral on social media. These lies are great examples of why diversifying your news diet and fact-checking what you share is so important. I’m quite certain many of you have actually fallen for some of the stories we cover in the video, as a few of them even fooled me before I dug deeper. I hope you'll take 10 minutes to watch it (below).
