Do technical founders need business co-founders?

This Week at YC

January 12th, 2024

Let’s say you can’t code, but you’ve got business experience and big ideas for a software startup. With all the no-code tools and dev shops out there... do you really need a technical co-founder?

Short answer: as Dalton & Michael explained in a recent episode of their show, yes

A lot of people wrote in after we released that episode to ask if the inverse is also true: do technical founders need a business co-founder?

The answer to that one is a little more complicated — so for this latest episode, Dalton & Michael dig into it.
