And this time it's a first for a Caribbean nation...

Starting February 2024, private and public companies in the Dominican Republic will start a six-month trial of a four-day workweek. 🇩🇴

The plan is for companies to drop from 44hr to 36hr per week without any loss in pay - and there's some big companies on the list e.g. Claro, a Latin American telecommunications company, with over 100k employees.
