Good morning. It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Aphex Twin, an electronic music composer from Cornwall, UK. Honestly, we weren’t around for the first wave of Aphex Twin enthusiasm. We probably weren’t even around for the second wave. But what’s emerged on YouTube is a vibrant curation of Richard D. James that amounts to a shadow discography. We’re featuring two YouTube compilations that swear they’re innocent of copystrike. The first one bills itself as “Music for Sleeping” which is an inaccurate title. The second says “Early Morning Works” and who knows what that means.
